About the project
ImSTEAM is an Erasmus+ Teacher Academies proposal designed to transform secondary-school STEAM education through immersive technologies including VR, AR and MR. The source abstract identifies a contextualisation gap in which students struggle to connect abstract STEAM knowledge to real-world problems. The public record connects this work to Secondary school teachers, Secondary school students and Teacher education institutions and schools, where STEM / STEAM, Digital learning and Teacher training need to become understandable, motivating and practical for real learning settings.
The project brings together a large consortium across Greece, Italy, Belgium, Croatia and Slovenia, including universities, schools, educational technology experts and policy facilitators. It develops a framework aligned with the PISA 2025 assessment framework and delivers scenario-based immersive learning experiences. The activity record covers Develop ImSTEAM Pedagogical Framework, Create modular teacher training with 19 micro-courses and Build immersive AR/VR/MR learning scenarios and platform. The project is developing outputs such as Pedagogical framework mapping contextualised competencies, Teacher training programme with 19 micro-courses and Immersive Education Platform, with results presented here only where they are supported by the local source record.
Objectives
