About the project

SCIFINE is an Erasmus+ Forward-Looking Project designed to enhance STEM learning in early childhood and primary education through inquiry-based, constructivist and open-schooling approaches. It targets Portugal, Slovenia and Croatia and focuses on strengthening foundational scientific literacy and broader basic skills. The public record connects this work to Children in early childhood and primary education, Teachers, educators and future educators and Parents and families, where STEM / STEAM, Digital learning and Inclusion need to become understandable, motivating and practical for real learning settings.

The project develops adaptable teaching resources, trains educators and teachers, and engages parents, community actors, science organisations, regional authorities and policymakers. The source frames this as a scientific community landscape: a collaborative ecosystem supporting inclusive and sustainable STEM learning. The activity record covers Coordinate quality assurance and ethics, Map scientific landscapes and benchmark STEM teaching practices and Build SCIFINE Learning Hubs. The project is developing outputs such as SCIFINE Scalability Model, Catalogue of STEM teaching, learning and assessment practices and Inquiry- and project-based STEM learning materials, with results presented here only where they are supported by the local source record.

Objectives
